Understanding the Hungarian Certificate of Good Conduct

Depending on where you want to use your certificate, it can be legalised by means of apostil or high court authentication. The only time you will not have to get your certificate legalised is if you plan on using it within the European Union countries.
What is the timeframe for obtaining certificates like these?
Whenever you apply for official documents, it is always best to keep in mind that turnaround times are not always fast, especially when technical difficulties are involved. In general, the issuing of a Hungarian Certificate of Good Conduct takes roughly four weeks from the date of your application.
Who must apply?
Good Conduct certificates are always used as part of visa application processes to determine if applicants have criminal histories or now. Depending on what kind of visa you are applying for, there may or may not be a requirement to submit a police clearance.

There is no set time for which these documents are valid but embassies, high commissions, consulates, and other authorities generally only accept certificates that are no older than three months.
