Tips for visiting Budapest Zoo

The zoo has one of the best playparks for kids in Budapest, bar none. Theplayground is located at the back of the zooand features a zip line, a climbing wall, an abundance of slides and swings,and a snack shop to keep hunger and thirst at bay.

After you explored all the zoo’s attractions, it’s a great idea to visit Városliget,Budapest’s City Park. The park is home to a range of great sites and activitiesand is actually a wonderful destination in itself. During the icy winter months, thepark is home to a massive ice rink, which isconverted into a trampoline area during the summer months.

Although visitors are allowed to take their own food and drink into the zoo, the venue also has a variety of restaurants andfood stalls on the premises. The zoo has a lot of benches scattered throughoutits ground, ideal for sitting down for a quick snack.
